I experimented with a number of designs and found this one to strike the best balance between performace and wearability. There's not too obturisive yet really work well as personal portable chimes. Each set is made to order, with 3 pipes in the 5-6 inch range, a base, a donger, and a toggle all made from natural bamboo harvested from our pesticde and herbiced free groves in southern Ohio, USA. Each piece has been heat treated with open flame for improved durability and longevity, as well as adding visual appeal. Polypro twine with heat sealed knots holds the chime set togehter. The necklace strands are made from bamboo twine provided by https://www.etsy.com/shop/CraftandBeadsUSA and are reverse wrapped by hand, finished with a loop and toggle. These tend to run about 25 inches or so, give or take, which is just big enough to slide over my head, so i don't typically use the toggle clasp, but it's nice to have and sometimes better. These cords could be tied in a loop knot up near the clasp and trimmed for a shorter version that would require un-toggling to remove.

Not only great for walking or running errands, we found these to be incredible massage and body work tools! Worn by a practioner, these not only provide a uniquely soothing and grounding experience to the client / receiver, they relax and focus the giver, tuning awareness to the present and where the healing energies are most needed. Spa ambience is certainly important, and the use of these will only enhance and add another layer to the overall experience. In order to help keep the tubes from touching the person you're working on during certain techniques, which can be a minor distraction, we found shortening the cord almost like a choker to be better. I suspect there are several other occupations or hobbies where wearing these wind chime necklaces would enhance and improve the experience.
