Simple natural bamboo mobile featuring X's and O's, humble and yet, a bit mesmerizing! The X's and O's are carefully crafted from natural untreated bamboo, harvested from our chemical and pesticide free grove in Ohio, USA. The X's are made from thin strips of bamboo, with notches cut into the ends where the strands of o's are suspended. I use the same stuff in my wind chimes, polypropylene twine that has all the knots flame sealed so it will never come untied. The lowest O on each strand has the twine passed through both drilled holes, and the ones above are tied independently top and bottom. This allows for more action in the tails as they kinda whip around with a bit more intensity.

The top base X is about 16 inches in diameter. From the middle of the base X to the lowest O runs about 41 inches. The hanging cord made from the same twine, but reverse wrapped for a bit more bulk, which has been shortened in the pics with a quick release knot, is actually 16 inches long. Fully deployed it really has some swing and momentum, but it's nice to know it's easily shorted if needed. The entire things weighs less than 3 ounces, easily light enough to dance in front of a fan or breezeway. Plus it's pretty durable, I would and have without hesitation drop it into the floor, and pick it right back up again. A strand or two of O's might get briefly twisted up with another, but generally it frees itself and ready to go right back at it without issue.
